Wendell Reed was born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN and now resides in Lascassas, TN with his wife, Deanna. All three of their adult children live in Rutherford County, TN as well. While actively serving with the Tennessee Army National Guard, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies/Health and Business from Liberty University in 2020.

In April of 2024 Wendell retired from military service after 35 years. He has been committed to the mission of A Soldier’s Child for over ten years through his fundraising efforts with Friends of ASC annual golf outing, and by introducing the cause to fellow soldiers, friends and family. Wendell and Deanna look forward to continuing their support and encouragement of and love for the families served by A Soldier’s Child during this next phase of their life.
