Angela Nicole Cross started her profession in the private sector as an HR professional. She later pursued her dream of becoming an Attorney, and in 2009 she graduated from law school. While attending law school, she worked as a Paralegal and a Court Clerk. She also worked for one of Rutherford County’s judges, the Honorable Royce Taylor, as a Law Clerk. In 2011, Angela began serving the people of Tennessee at the Department of General Services. Angela has a PHR certification in Human Resources and is listed as a Rule 31 Mediator. Angela’s professional background consists of conducting employee relations investigations, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures, drafting legal documents, and mediating employee disputes. Currently, Angela serves as the Policy Manager for the State of Tennessee Department of General Services.
In 2016 after the sudden death of her son, Angela founded a youth-based nonprofit organization, OKAS, Inc., in loving memory of her son. Through OKAS, Inc., Angela passionately serves and gives back to the community where she grew up. Angela is also a Tennessee Promise Mentor where she serves as a valuable resource guiding high school students and their families through the college process.
Angela enjoys exploring and learning new things. She calls herself an “unapologetic geek” due to her curious mind, thirst for knowledge, and fascination with technology. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family. Angela is a lover of Christ, family, food, fun, and music!
